Speak Up! set up tolerance er et uafhængigt magasin, som handler om ytringsplads, synlighed, mulighed og ansvar i den aktuelle sociale og politiske hverdag.Fællesskab – genfortælling og genforhandling er den overordnede titel på dette første nummer af Speak Up! som bl.a. rejser spørgsmålet: Hvordan når vi frem til at se positivt på muligheden og udfordringen i et åbent fællesskab, der baserer sig på mangfoldighed og accept af både (u)enighed og ikke-identisk lighed?
I vinduet vises billede og tekst, der knytter an til magasinet. Magasinet kan erhverves i en udendørs dispenser.

ROSTA-fenster: Vinduesværker i rum46
rum46 præsenterer i hver måned i 2006 et vinduesværk kaldet ROSTA-fenster, der indeholder karakter af propagandakunst og samtidig fungerer som en installation ud ad til – i det offentlige rum. ROSTA-fenster var sovjetiske propagandaplakater designet af russiske kunstnere og forfattere og udført af Telegraf-agenturet ROSTA. ROSTA-plakaterne blev skabt i 1919-1921 lige efter første verdenskrig og blev eksponeret i diverse vinduer (heraf navnet), som øjenåbnere, der skulle illustrere bourgeoisiets fald og appellere til mobilisering af alle kræfter med henblik på at støtte op omkring kommunismen i Rusland. De blev altså skabt som reaktion på samfundets tilstand, hvor utilfredshed herskede, og hvor den politiske situation var ustabil og under forandring. Med ROSTA-fenster ønsker rum46 at sætte forskellige aktuelle problemstillinger på dagsordenen.

During September 2006 rum46 will present the Magazine Speak UP! set up tolerance in ROSTA-fenster.
The magazine Speak UP! set up tolerance is an independent magazine that focuses on freedom of speech, visibility, responsibility and possibility in the current social and political everyday.
Community – retelling and renegotiating is the title of this first issue of Speak Up! which raise the question:
How do we get to the point where we can obtain a positive view on the possibility and the challenge of an open community that bases itself on diversity and acceptance of both (dis)agreement and non-identical equality?
In the window you can see a selected text and image presentation – the magazine can be picked up from an ourdoor dispenser.
The work and editor group of this first issue are Uzma Ahmed Andresen, Tanja Nellemann and Grete Aagaard.

ROSTA-fenster: Window exhibits in rum46
Each month rum46 will present a window exhibit called ROSTA-fenster, which will, in various ways, comment on propaganda art as well as relevant social or political problems. Outwardly, towards the public space, ROSTA-fenster functions like an installation, meeting the casual passer-by on the street with a relevant message.
ROSTA-fenster were soviet propaganda posters designed by Russian artists and writers and made by the ROSTA telegraph agency. The ROSTA posters were created during 1919-1921, just after the First World War, and were displayed in various windows (hence the name) as eye-opening illustations of the failures of the bourgeoisie; as well as appealing to the mobilisation of all forces to rally around communism in Russia. They were also created as a reaction to the conditions of society, where dissatisfaction, hunger and poverty reigned, and where the political situation was unstable and undergoing change. With the principals behind ROSTA-fenster, rum46 aims to set various current problems on the agenda, just as the original ROSTA-fenster posters did.
Until now ROSTA-fenster has presented works by Share Your Country, Selvsving, Jacob Nielsen, EuroMayDay, Cool Burger Airback Revolutionen, KULTURBUREAU and SWOP NETWORK, The works range from ambiguous picture statements to the humorous philosophizing of activist and political documentary. In contrast to the original ROSTA posters, there is no collective political message, rather the works comment on various social, political and existential problems.
