TALK – Torsdag. d. 26. febr. kl. 19:00. Den 26. februar gæster den tyrkiske kunstner Banu Cennetoğlu rum46. Det sker i forbindelse med udstillingstedets foredrag- og workshop række samlet under titlen MAKING SOCIAL REALITIES WITH BOOKS*
Banu Cennetoğlu arbejder i sin praksis med arkivering, fotografi, installation og printed matters. I 2006 initierede hun projektrummet BAS i Istanbul, som fokuserer på samling og produktion af artists books, publikationer og andre tryksager.
Med udgangspunkt i egne værker og projekter vil Banu Cennetoğlu’s talk i rum46 bl.a dreje sig om forholdet mellem printed matter og ‘arkiver’ – hun vil her udfolde tanker og handlinger vedrørende det at:indsamle,sortere,arrangere,re-arrangere,klassificere,redigere,gen-redigere,fremviseog ind imellemoptage …

Om Banu Cennetoğlu
Banu Cennetoğlu bor og arbejder I Istanbul. Hendes værker er senest blevet vist bl.a. på Rodeo, London (2014), Salonul de Proiecte, Bucharest (2013); Artists Space, New York (2013). Hun deltog desuden i 10th Gwangju Biennale, Manifesta 8, Murcia; 3rd Berlin Biennale og 10th Istanbul Biennale. Sammen med Ahmet Öğüt repræsenterede Banu Cennetoğlu Tyrkiet ved 53rd Venice Biennale.
Siden 2006 har Banu Cennetoğlu desuden drevet projektrummet BAS i Istanbul, som fokuserer på samling og produktion af artists books, publikationer og andre tryksager. BAS var den første af sin art i Istanbul.
